It is an honour to be able to perform here  on the occasion of 100 years commemoration of "A Hundred years hence"

Rabindranath Tagore is the pride of all Indians. His tremendous contribution to art, literature and culture is above any scope of doubt.
 Through his music, literature and wisdom, people from two ancient cultures were bonded together here 100 years ago. It is the responsibility of us, younger generation to keep up that cultural harmony and I feel truly overwhelmed to be a part of this event.

タゴール横浜来訪100周年記念イベントで演奏できますことを、とても光栄に思います。ラヴィンドラナート・タゴールは、全てのインド人の誇りです。タゴールは芸術、文学、文化に多大な貢献をしました。タゴールの音楽、文学、英知を通して、100年前にこの横浜で、長い歴史を誇る日印両国の人々の絆が芽生えました。これからも、調和のとれた関係を保っていくことが、私たち若い世代の責任だと思っています。このイベントに参加できますことを、本当に嬉しく思います。

ディプトニルさんは、まさに新世代を担うインド音楽演奏家として、

今インドでも大変注目をあつめています。

我欲をそぎ落とし、美しさをとことん追求した演奏は、

伝説的演奏家である師匠から受け継いだものでしょう。

そして今回、待望の初来日を果たしました。

9月初旬から、すでにいくつもの日本公演を好評のうちに終えています。

ディプトニル・バッタチャルジー

サロード奏者。インドのコルカタ出身。 音楽家の家庭に生まれる。 幼少より著名なサロード奏者ダネーシュ・カーン氏の弟子、 父・アシム・バッタチャルジーにサロードを習い始める。 1995年、伝説的なインド音楽家ウスタッド・アリアクバル・カーン氏から、 伝統的な弟子の証“ガンダ ”を授かる。 今はサロードの巨匠ウスタッド・アーシシュ・カーン、 ウスタッド・アリアクバル・カーン氏の娘・アミナ・ペレラ、アラム・カーン、各氏のもとで研鑽を積む。 2013年にスールナンダン・バラティからスールマニ賞を受賞。 オールインディアラジオにゲストパフォーマーとして出演。 昨年、ウスタッド・アーシシュ・カーン氏と共演を果たす。 現在は、インド国内外の様々な舞台で演奏を行い好評を博す。

Dwiptanil Bhattacharjee

Sarode player of Maihar Seniya gharana

Born in a music family Dwiptanil started his music journey as a student from his father Shri Ashim Bhattacharjee, disciple of late Prof. Dhyanesh Khan. Swara Samrat Ustad Baba Ali Akbar Khan sahib tied him “Ganda“ on 11th February,1995 in Kolkata. He has now been developing his musical personality under the guidance of Sarode maestro Ustad Aashish Khan & Smt. Ameena Perera (daughter of Ustad Ali Akbar Khan), also taking talim from Shri Alam Khan. He is now performing Sarode recital at different music conferences throughout India and abroad and received blessing from many music experts. He received “ Surmani Award” from ‘Surnandan Bharati’ on 8th December, 2013. He also performed as a “Guest Performer” for All India Radio.
